The quenching stage is especially significant in TMT production. Water cools the outer surface of the hot-rolled bar rapidly, creating a hard martensitic rim. The bar then cools naturally, allowing the interior to retain a softer and more ductile structure. If the process is not controlled properly, the intended balance between strength and ductility may not be achieved.

Developing products beyond straight bars

TMT rings can reduce the amount of cutting, bending and tying required at a project site. Binding wire supports the assembly of reinforcement cages before concrete placement.
